Every day, new challenges are added on moolta by daredevils looking to raise money for their favorite causes. While we hope for the best for every single one, every now and then a challenge fails to be completed. Obviously we want every challenge to succeed, but on occasion, a hilarious fail is born providing laughs to all of those who see it. So, today we would like to offer you the very best in FAILS. The art of a fail is truly hysterical and we hope it puts a smile on your face.

Big Business Giving Back
Every now and then we like to take a quick break from our fun and crazy challenges to acknowledge all the other companies out there that are fighting for corporate social goodness alongside moolta. In a world filled with big business, greed and corporate irresponsibility, a few companies stand out and shine amongst the rest as honorable ventures always looking to give back.
As you already know, moolta raises money for charities. We take pride in helping those in need and cherish everything we do for the organizations that benefit from our work. Here is a list of three other companies who also give back and the different ways they go about doing so:
For a company who claims that giving is part of their DNA, TOMS sure lives up to it. TOMS sells shoes, eyewear and apparel, all made from sustainable and vegan materials… even the box is 80% recycled material! But more importantly, for every pair of shoes you buy from TOMS, another pair is donated to somebody in need in poor areas around the world. The company is currently running a giving campaign as well. “Ticket To Give” is a way for TOMS to send 50 people on trips to different parts of the world to give shoes to those who need and chronicle the events. You can even enter to be one of the 50 who take a trip! If you would like to sign up or are interested in learning more, check out the Ticket To Give website here: Ticket To Give
Pepsi launched their “Pepsi Refresh” project as recently as the Super Bowl, but they have managed to make great contributions to society in that time. Pepsi Refresh is a community based around Pepsi where customers can communicate with the brand. Customers can vote on which charity they want Pepsi to support, what contributions they want Pepsi to make to society, and even what fundraising events Pepsi should have. The community is the perfect mix of modern social media, corporate responsibility, and fun! To check out the site for yourself, follow this link: Pepsi Refresh
Wear The Fund
One of our favorite young companies today is Wear The Fund and it’s not because they were also first launched at the University of Florida. Wear The Fund is not only the epitome of corporate responsibility, but the whole brand is based on it. When you purchase a trendy and original article of clothing from Wear The Fund, 20% of your bill goes to one of six charities and the choice is yours! Customers currently get to choose between the Jack & Jill Foundation, Ronald McDonald House Charities, Big Hearts For Big Dogs Rescue, Kiwanis International, The Alzheimer’s Association and Tabarinni. Finally, you can go on that big shopping spree and not feel guilty at the end of it. Check out the Wear The Fund website to learn more about the company and buy your first Wear The Fund shirt! HARLEM makes you SHAKE?
The Harlem shake is the latest trend to drive youtubers crazy.
In 2012 the track “Harlem Shake” by Baauuer was released on to the web and pretty much did nothing. Only about a year later, ‘Filthy Frank’ used the track for a video of 4 people dancing in spandex suits, and all Harlem broke loose. Check out the original –
Like most YouTube trends, it then snowballed into a full blown epidemic. There are already tens of thousands of versions – from college kids to firefighters, and even Norwegian soldiers (who knew there are Norwegian soldiers?). Everybody wants in.
So, to help you out, we at moolta.com have compiled a recipe that will make your Harlem shake bring all the boys to the yard.
– One bizarre person in a full head mask or helmet.
– One bunch of people willing to dance like they’re having a seizure.
– One working camera.
– One space big enough to fit all dancing people.
– Props – the more, the merrier. The weirder – the better.
Try (it’s hard) to think of a situation no one has ever done before. Start semi-normal, with everyone being themselves, except bizarro guy in the full head mask – make him dance even before you start filming.
15 seconds in is when all hell should break loose – everyone joins in on the seizure-dancing. Make sure you give every dancer his own specific move to repeat for the next 15 seconds. Want to earn extra Harlem Shake points? Include at least one person dry humping an inanimate object and another dancing in a hand stand. Farm animals (even stuffed ones) are also a welcomed addition.
Now edit, add music, and voilà! Your very own Harlem Shake.
For your inspiration and our selfish reasons, here is Moolta‘s very own Harlem Shake ZOMBIE version:
Now go forth, young one, and make your own.
Or are you not up for the challenge?
Seven pieces of advice for an epic Rag week
We all know Rag week is one of the best weird traditions out there, it’s an invitation for people to do crazy fun things for a good cause and raise money for charity. You basically get a whole week to do all the crazy stuff you don’t normally get to do, and there are a lot of things that can be considered “Crazy”. We here at Moolta decided to perform an important public service and collected some of the most out-Rag-eous, funny, creative Rag stories to inspire you to make sure your Rag week is as epic as it can possibly be.
Here are some guidelines:
1. Silence is not only golden, it can be Epic.
This is Alfred, a stuffed ape and a long lasting Bristol symbol. Alfred was kidnapped (or shall we say – ape-napped) from the Bristol Museum in 1956, and though a major police investigation took place, no genuine leads were ever found.
Fast forward 54 years later, Fred Hooper breaks his silence and solves the mystery – Hooper told the world how he, along with Ron Morgan and a third friend who to this day remains anonymous, decided to steal the giant Silverback during the city’s university Rag week. They kept him for 24 hours and brought him safely back to his cage, but of course no ape-napping would be complete without playing dressup, thus the photo.
2. Don’t be afraid to get messy
Rag week is all about raising money for charity, but, like Moolta, you’ve got to have fun in the process. Dirty, slimy and messy is just how Rag week should be, and it makes for some great photo-up moments.
UCC’s RAG Week charity fundraisers include “Lube Wrestling”, which is sort of a cross between sumo wrestling and doing the dishes.
During the University of Bristol Rag week’s jailbreak, two chicks named Emma Blott and Mary Spender managed to get all the way to Australia in 36 hours without using a single pound. They made the call 4 minutes before the deadline and won first place in that year’s jailbreak challenge. Check out how they did it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wKSiRhpEXtg
4. As always – think creatively!
In the Rag week of 74′ students from Bangor University wanted to get some air time on Radio Liverpool, and decided to make an entrance to make sure they get it. They rode to the Radio Liverpool building on an old hospital bed that had been converted into a lean mean road machine by an Engineering student- with lights, wheels and brakes. They got the bed inside the elevator and went up 12 floors with little to no room or air, and sure enough – the radio station just couldn’t say no and granted them a guest spot on a local hit radio show.
(Remember – we’re talking about 1974, radio was a big thing. It’s like you would ride today into the building where SNL is filmed and ask in)
5. If you fail – Make it epic
The University of West England decided that for Valentine’s Day 2007 they would attach tickets to pink balloons and hand out music vouchers to the person whose balloon traveled the furthest after being released. You can see in the link below why it didn’t go quite as planned, but the funny video of The Epic-Fail supplied that year’s Rag with a lot of publicity and became a symbol. Watch it here: http://youtu.be/3wZW7_4p98k
6. Break boundaries, break records.Rag week is all about knowing your boundaries, and then breaking them, preferably with a bang. One traditional way of doing so is by attempting to break a world record, and there are some world records that can be good fun breaking. SUSU attempted to break world record for the most people downing shots at once, UCD SUA Society managed to break the world record for the biggest game of Twister, played on a ground area of approx. 15478 square feet. NUI Gallaway students broke the Guinness World Record for “rocking the boat”: 907 students sat on the floor of a gym in lines singing “Rock the boat” and danced a special rock the boat dance, which should have also broken the Record for the silliest Guiness World Record. See it here – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nHfd4crYAdk
Oh, another tip from us – if you’re going for the world record, don’t forget to invite the Guiness World Record inspection guy.
7. Challenge. Yourself, your community and everyone around you.
Take on the challenge, think outside the box, be original, include as much people as possible, and MAKE IT COUNT!

Giving YOLO a Whole New Meaning
Three things you probably want to try
Getting a little tired of the mundane? Well apparently, these guys can’t really stand it either. In fact, they rarely even experience it. Labor Day Don’ts
A list of stupid shit you should probably try to avoid on Labor Day
You’ve worked your ass off for 364 days and it is finally here once again… Labor Day! A day to celebrate you, the worker, the backbone of your country. A day to tell your boss to go fuck himself when he asks you to file a report or scan documents. It’s a day to sleep-in, relax, crack open a brewsky, fire up the grill, toss the ol’ pigskin, celebrate with family and blast some country and rock music. You all know what to do on Labor Day, there’s no need for me to go any further; but here’s an epic list of things you should avoid on this awesome holiday:
- Find a bathroom when the barbecue and beer hits you, otherwise you’ll be this idiot…
